how can blendtards stand this piece of shit software? it's fucking unusable on a 6k screen

Post what it looks like. I'm curious. Also, there's already a Blender thread.

doesn't look any different from lower resolutions but the bigger the viewport the lower the FPS which is ridiculous just for a viewport. and you cannot change the resolution. never had such problem with Maya or MoBu

Just fill the space with more menus then, are you on tiny screen relative to its res or something?
I don't use Blender but this is some low hanging shit

My condolences. I wouldn't even consider 4k usable. With my 2k most of the time I play games with deliberately phat juicy pixels, like 800x600 tier grain, and in my compositor I often have this.

Computers are slower when they have to render more pixels
this is shocking news for OP

Ohhh. I see what you mean. Yeah, that does kind of suck. Welp, I guess since you have 6k money, you can afford a second monitor. Just gets a nice 1080p boy.
Or, maybe if you change the resolution in windows, then it will trick Blender into fitting that resolution.

having a 6K monitor does not make you a better 3D artist cuck.

not my problem freetards are stuck with lowres displays. as I said other industry software doesn't have this issue at all.

I will just return to Maya, I wanted to give Blender another chance like I do every year but it seems like they do nothing to optimize it to run better

Isn't this a problem with every software when you go too far with your resolution? I don't get the point in having absolutely gigantic resolution monitors even when I do illustrations, why would I want that with 3D if it offers no serious benefit to working on things?
Anonymous at Wed, 30 Oct 2024 21:11:11 UTC No. 1000465
This is exactly the reason why I laugh at potatofags who feel compelled to get a 4, 6 or even 8k dual monitor setup hooked up to their toaster because bigger number = better.
Of course they then go complain about the software online when their shitty budget rig can't feed their displays quickly enough instead of realizing that +4k is retarded eyecandy especially if your hardware is inadequate.

zoomies are used to phone displays.
the moment they can actually see individual pixels they think something is broken.

Better yet, OP can make a pull request to the blender repo and fix the issue xerself.

Pixelate in compositor can also do this with any renderer and any pixel scale.

no it doesn't, it only changes the rendering resolution in the material preview view, it doesn't do anything in the basic "solid" mode
