There is zero reason to dedicate this much time into something that will net you nothing. Everything in the 3D pipeline is going to be destroyed. The 3D industry has been decimated. You are competing with industry veterans for a small number of entry level positions.

In today's economic climate dedicating this much time to a hobby, a skill, is a detriment to yourself. If you're young your hobby shouldn't have to take hours of grinding that net you nothing when those hours could and should be used to make you more financially secure. Hobbies are a luxury that most people can no longer realistically afford. If you can't make money from your hobby you are hurting yourself. That's not a good thing but that's the world we are in, and trust me I'm not happy about it either.
YOU WILL NOT MAKE ANY MONEY DOING THIS, MOVE ON WITH YOUR LIFE!!! Go learn a trade.

Also this isn't 3dcg specific problem. A lot of jobs are hurting nowadays. Maybe even more will tomorrow.
If you can't make money today, you shouldn't consider it's a problem with yourself or your field.
It's just the world we live in, it's really shitty nowadays, it wasn't so bad even 10 years ago, but it sure started going downhill before that.

Great recipe to depression. I live this life and I'd rather have less money with a higher social life and time for my hobbies which is 3D than constantly grinding the ass off thinking about money 24/7.

Because I have enough money and there is nothing I'd like to spend it on, except food, drinks, vidya, art and porn.
It's been a year and I still have a lot. I will get a job again when I need money, but currently it simply would be stupid thing to do.

You know what's even better than depression? Being poor. The reality is if you aren't going the extra mile you're going to have a hard time surviving now. You have to grind. Social life and hobbies are luxuries. And I don't think this is a good thing but it's our reality now. You're better off taking an extra shift at work than going out with friends, considering how expensive everything is now to do anything anyway.
You can say this is an unhealthy mindset, but it's actually society that's unhealthy and this is the result.
