why do you like 3D m8

Anonymous No. 833877

Because I can make BBW furries with jiggle physics for vrchat with it.

More serious answer is it just fits the strength of my brain, I'm a very technically minded process driven dude, but not to the degree that you'd find in like a programmer, I love learning new software and workflows, I love the nuts and bolts. Likewise I'm an artistic dude but find just drawing all day to be lacking a bit of the problem solving puzzles I like.

3d is the perfect 50/50 split between being a technician and being a creative so it's perfect for my brain.

I'm like this guy >>833877 but autistic enough to be a programmer, so I've spent the last few years building a 3d engine as a hobby.

Kinda fell into it.
Grew up loving Toy Story. Fucked around with 3d programs as a kid for fun, in between skateboarding, BMX, making games, "joining a band", photography, and every other throwaway hobby a kid gets super into growing up.
Never thought about pursuing it seriously.
Went to school for physics, then swapped to graphic design since it "fit" me more.
Did 3d on the side the whole time, and even incorporated it into my work as a graphic designer, since my focus was on illustrations and stuff rather than publications and logos. Though I did my fair share of that too.
Pic related was a cover I did for one of my school's publications, there's a bunch of empty space for text and stuff, but I'm leaving that out.

But yeah.
Eventually just said fuck-it, and pursued 3d entirely.
Been working freelance for a few years.

Thanks anons.
That job gave me a bunch of excuses to do 3d modelling in a different mindset than just doing 3d.
It was something that I had to do for each season, so I had a series of different versions of the building that I did in different seasons and styles.
Pic related was an unused one with a different style, going for large flat planes of color with realistic lighting. So at first glance to students it'd look like a photo, but on closer inspection it's an abstracted version of a place that's familiar to them.

when I was 6 I was a friends house and his brother had quake 3 running with a simpsons mod. From there I found I could change the images of weapons and paint my own textures and it just went on from there and now I'm retarded.

Same reasons, I like doing graphic design for similar reasons. I like being creative, but my mind pushes more towards a technical mind set.
