More trouble than they're worth irreparably messing up topology on the simplest of low poly models. Even the courses that incorporate booleans onto a project never clean it up afterwards or sneak in a 3dcoat auto retopo.
People in the industry will tell you two avoid two tools: boolean and crease

they will tell you no such thing. Especially because this unified "industry" where all methods are exactly the same doesn't exist in the first place.
OP wait until you have like more than a month of modelling experience before making threads like this please.

there's no wrong way to do it since you can clean up your topology

Stopped reading there. There's nothing wrong with using crease.

creasing can be useful for building forms and creating the necessary geo, as long as you go in later and fence them off.

>says he dislikes crease tool
>shows a weird slow third-rate way of blocking out really basic primary form that he can't even do low poly without slapping that subdivide button
yes very epic

If you haven't commonly across people in the industry who tell you to avoid the crease tool, not even one, and that they've been told to not use it at the studio then you're not working professionally. Now please tell me about how you're the don king of modeling known by all the studios now that I backed you into a corner.

Yes anon pretending to be Andrew yhe made something very basic with garbage topology after SAYING IN THE VIDEO THAT " I AM NOT A FAN OF CREASING MOST PEOPLE ARE NOT".
But go ahead my dudes just boolean and crease it up. Employers will love that shit in the demo reel

when we're talking about hard-surface (meshes not meant for animation/deformation), it's just about shading, so it literally does not matter as long as you can get the shading right. that includes tri's at certain points etc.
