Is RenderMan pirated? I don't see anything on CGP, not even for version 23.

I know about the free version, but still, that can't be what piratechads use, right?

>I know about the free version
Then you know that it is unrestricted in a technical sense - you can do everything you can do with the pro version.
What else do you need?

not him, but renderman 24 NC does not include the gpu rendering (XPU)

He wants a “pro” version so he can feel like a professional. Same reason people use Maya and Max. Doesn’t matter if a free software can also get the job done.

It's just convenience, I'd like to avoid having to renew the NCR license every three months.

To answer the question, i don't think there is no pirate version of it. I've never seen a crack for it. Maybe that just my perception.

Yeah, for some reason it doesn't but it will, already confirmed. NC version always lags behind a little bit.

Not having the "new" GPU rendering is a good reason, I give him that.

Nope, absolutely not the same, fuck off retard.

Where?

Somebody asked this on a stream of the developers - the NC will be identical to the pro version. No idea why it isn't right now, but like I said the NC always lags behind a little.

TRIGGERED I WAS ONLY PRETENDING TO BE RETARDED

Thanks. Hope they don't take too long. I'm curious to know if XPU could replace Redshift for my uses.

Anonymous No. 836542

XPU is pretty limited right now so I see why it's not in the free release

Lack of volumes would be the only PITA for me personally, but even then not a deal breaker. Lack out of core rendering could also rule it out sometimes. I'm mostly curious about speed though - I expect Arnold-gpu or slower desu - would be incredibly surprised if it can compete with octane, let alone redshift, on that front.

You wont be surprised because that's not gonna happen.

Could this mean that professional GPUs are required?
