I know that feel, bro.

Just force yourself to start. Open up the program and do something. Try to get into the flow, cause once you're there, you'll be able to stay there for hours.

I wanna learn how to animate so I can make my character dance. So far I've only animated bouncing balls or smaller objects.
Hell I can't even pose my characters without grtting upset because of how I unsatisfied I am. It's like a mental block I get when I want to try or learn resulting in anxiety

Hey I have the answer to this.. I know what you are describing; You have to give yourself an entire day devoted to trying your best to get that sequence of key poses in line. Just carve out some Saturday. If you wake up early, workout, eat breakfast, and then get started by 10, you will surprise yourself- By 2pm or so, after some scrapping, potentially even restarting the whole sequence; you should have a sequence you can further refine and get more granular with. It is not necessary to continue work on that day after you have gotten the key poses. Do not try to rush it out the door; each iteration of the animation will look better than the last

The only way I am able to animate anything and overcome THE FEAR is to carve out days where my head is only in animation; I can't animate comfortably at the tail end of a work day. This is actually nice because there is so much work involved surrounding animation for Cg that I'm always occupied at least

animation is exhausting for the mind. You have to throw yourself into that ocean. And the more studying you do while in that ocean, the more naturally you will be able to swim. But the truth is that all swimmers must breath air and must rest so they do not drown. You have to train the animation muscle. THE FEAR never fully goes away, but it diminishes to a low hum rather than a scream in your ear
