I'm fucking sick of having to switch between Blender and Godot, not knowing what stuff is better to do on the one, and what on the other, having to go through all the tedious process of importing assets without even knowing whether they will keep all their properties or not, adding collision shapes that may or may not work for unclear reasons, etc. etc. etc..
How in the world is it possible that there is still NO game engine with competent 3D-modeling capabilites, and NO 3D-modeling software able to make full-blown games?
The only one who does it right is Dreams, that however is shit other reasons.

I miss Blender Game Engine too.

Why would I want more bloat? You can make a donut in UE5 if you want, but there is no reason to.

Honestly, I've kind of wondered why Godot isn't integrated with blender as closely as possible, because next to nobody using Godot is going to be using autodesk.

It's generally extremely dumb to tightly couple modeling with a game engine. Game engines generally don't care about slow high quality renders also, while modeling software does. Game engines also have heavy amounts of code specifically tuned for gameplay loops that's useless in modeling. And honestly if you're making a game might as well learn how to set up watchers to auto-import your shit/automate it so you don't need to manually do shit. Wrote a few scripts in a day and I never have to worry about blender to unity fucking imports anymore.

That's why on game studios you have one team doing the models and other doing all the 3d engine nonsense, they are very different things.

Just like get a superprogrammer who can program a game-engine and modeling, animation, rendering, particle, etc. Package, where there are no work breaking bugs and it's actually easier to use than standardised pipeline.

Blender has a million dollar budget. They cut the game engine because nobody could make it work.

If you're freaking out over going between just two programs, it's super safe to say you will never make it in this field.
