Anyone tried RadeonProRender? I tried it on Blender and made this, my first 3D animation. I'm an expert now

Looked into it right before the GPU price explosion because I wanted to go Linux full time and my limited research suggested AMD cards run with less issues on Linux.
But I concluded it had the "it's not popular because it's not popular so it's not popular" problem most things have.

Also Cycles X is probably going to be a big deal and will probably (say after a few months) have decent AMD support and that may end up beating out the RadeonProRenderer

ProRender doesn't support motion blur on deforming geometry so it's effectively useless. I'm sure it's missing a lot of other features but this one is a biggie.

if i hadnt had reminded you that a major capeshit movie released in theaters and not straight to video used no motion blur you wouldnt even have realized. Hell, i bet you didnt even see the movie since you were so busy creating your next blurred masterpiece

I was surprised to know that. I've just checked, they added the feature recently. https://gpuopen.com/learn/radeon-prorender-plugin-updates/
