Fix issue from pic related selecting it and pressing alt+n and recalculate outside probably should do it.
To put your textures on your model, you have to make individual low poly mesh keeping shape of each individual high poly shape. once you do it you have to unwrap all of your low poly models, there - google about uv unwrapping. Assign One material to all low poly models (later on substance painter will read it as one texture) assign to this material checker texture, find it on Google, should have letters, numbers ratio1:1 and not black n white. Select all low poly models, make your material use checker texture, go to material preview, go to edit mode with all low poly selected, try to adjust islands so they take as much space they can in uv space, and use checker in viewport to see how much resolution each part gets. Ctrl F2 select suffix and name it _low. Do the same for high poly name them "high", export low poly as fbx individually with "selected objects"option only
Do same for HP,
Good luck i will monitor it because you are new and that gun doesn't look like shit

The point of that post was to lead op into baking and using substance painter in the end. Op is fag probably learning nodes now to avoid all those steps

retarded question: I’m only familiar with traditional substance painter texturing workflow. However, I had a sculpture/project for VR exhibit, where I textured everything using nodes in blender. Basically no textures could be exported into shitty vr environment, so I had to eyeball and replicate everything in photoshop. Does that mean that node setup only works in blender? I guess you could bake the textures somehow. But all in all, nodes are not used for realtime, right? Sry, I’m just zbrush sculpting monkey

you have to bake nodes from blender or set them up again in the program you're using to play ur game. I think it would be cool if one day exporters could recreate your blender node setup in you game engine or w/e u use
