๐Ÿงต Blenderbros i dont feel so good

Anonymous No. 843072

i have been thinking about this and am more and more convinced that adobe is making moves to buy blender out from us, they have been dying to acquire a 3d software package to add to their 3d library... and to its detriment marking its slow decline into oblivion.
im sad bros

Let's, for a second, indulge your delusions.

You're acting as if adobe products are super hard to pirate.

how much are they paying you adobe shills?

the issue its not the pirating, the issue is that adobe is a death sentence to any real development

>with features way beyond what the public version can do

Like Autodesk, Adobe doesn't spend anything on R&D and development of new features, their whole business model is to release the same crap every year and slowly milk their customers for it with subscription. When shit starts getting long in the tooth they outright buy their competitors and let that piece of software rot. The thought of them wasting resources to create some "undeniably amazing features" is so preposterous it makes me chuckle. They can come out with a whole new renderer and i still wouldn't pay for it.

I understand the whole death sentence sentiment but I still don't think that would make a huge impact.

Look at CS6 for example. People are still using it proudly to this day. There are still releases that M0nkrus is keeping updated just for CS6. There's a bunch of local/amateur artists I know that use that specific suite for their needs. I know guys still running Final Cut 7 to edit movies cause "it just works". I know some music studios still using not only tape/analogue consoles and hardware but they are still using pro tools 8.

I used to work for a news station and they were still using CS6 After Effects and a 2012 version of Avid to edit on.

You don't really need to have the latest and greatest updated to the tits releases. The whole point I guess I'm trying to make is it simply comes down to the artist. A really good artist won't blame their tools, they adapt to them accordingly.

That being said, don't get me wrong, I do think there could be some stagnant development in any company that gets bought out or undergoes major managerial shifts, and yes, Adobe has a track record of running a lot of things into the ground, but like I said before, Adobe has to be one of the easiest things in the world to pirate. I'm almost convinced M0nkrus works for them because it's so goddamn simple and easy to do. But even if adobe acquired Blender, there would probably be hundreds of forks of blender right out of the gate. There are already a lot of forks of blender. But I wouldn't worry about blender being gobbled up by adobe. Even development wise, I don't think Blender is going away to any company like that anytime soon (who knows, maybe one day)

Do you not know what open source means?
Are you really this retarded?

Also, just get Zbrush. It's way better than Blender.

Adobe doesn't own any shares to Blender though. They just gave them money. They don't have any influence in that sense.

you dont even need to pirate it. someone can and will fork the code and thats completely legal

the most likely case scenario is that adobe wants to position itself as the most logical choice for adjacent software, hence this new rigging thing and substance painter. i'm betting new addon that makes substance painter workflow available in blender is in the works
