Will I be able to make it in your industry if I only render on cpu because I cant afford a 3x series gpu?

you need to have a good computer and gfx card generally, but for certain things, like modeling you don't. But generally its important to have a good pc. If you cant afford it don't give up, do what you can until you can afford better stuff.
