That's what I thought too, but I'm scared about the weight it puts on my CPU. If I cut a cube into 1024*1024 slices, it already starts slowing down.
If I make a lot of small elements I can make them appear/disappear whenever the player gets near them, but I can't do that with 1 single huge object.
Also, there's this annoying "feature" where I can't zoom towards my mesh in a linear way, but only asymptotically, so I can't ever get near enough to edit small details.

Absolutely insane progress OP! Hard to say without knowing your game a bit better.

In general, I think you should probably work on items that won't get a lot of direct player attention. That way you will get the most practice on those pieces, and then when you start building more important models, you'll be doing it with more experience than you had before.

Final pieces you touch should be the most important either in terms of their visual significance or how frequently they'll be seen in game. If your character has a weapon, for example, you should wait to build that because it will be seen consistently for most of the game.

because unlike other paid 3d software, blender is free, and anyone can download it & start learning & making stuff, and like 80% of blender's new users are complete beginners in everything 3d. so they make dog shit renders. the good thing about paid 3d software, is that a big percentage of its users are way more experienced with 3d stuff.
