๐Ÿงต another lowpoly workflow

Anonymous No. 844716

sorry for staining this board with another low poly/ playstation graphics thread. I just thought it would be nice to share how I made my low poly graphics.

I use Blender cuz its free and does the bare mininum of the any software so I find the limitations to make the low poly model spawn creativity producing cool solutions to topology issues.

I dont really sculpt then retopologize. I use basic 3D shapes like UV spheres and cubes to make block outs of the main shapes of the model, then connect them.

i then turn the pixel filter value to 0 in the render tab and switch to flat shading for added shittiness. I also change the rendering resolution to something small like 256x192px

I think the result looks pretty good!

Great looking skeleton for sure. I'm absolutely spooped.

I don't know if an explanation this basic really warranted its own thread, but I'll take this over the never ending software wars and 'is there a magic tool that will do literally everything for me?' threads.

You must be young gun- this sounds like something id say as a young gun, but then cringe at a few years later after remembering the moment suddenly, seeing clearly how STUPID I sounded. Its cool though; That's what this place is for, for me to tell you without remorse that you sound silly when you said that

yeah that used to be one of the normal workflows before the sculpting shit took over everything.

thnx for the positive feedback. I've been experimenting with different colors and rendering styles. I like this over saturated pixel art style I've found
