godot isn't bad, it just falls into the trap where beginners choose it as their first game engine without knowing anything about 3d, immediately think it's shit when they can't figure something out and quit without trying any other software to compare. that's why you see so many beginners complain about it. it doesn't happen much for other 3d engines since those have companies behind them, so the beginner is less inclined to immediately blame their tools (although it still happens)
