I almost fell for the "blender = bad" meme. Fuck you guys, it's way better than the industry shit you shill.

Anonymous No. 848819

It always amazes me how deranged these blendlet attention seeking fags are
>be in discord group
>exchange works with several lads
>different softwares c4d, autidesk, maya and even some old software (can't remember the name) from the early 00s
>blendlets come and start screeching how blender is superior
>ask them to post their work
>links some youtube video
Also that pic perfectly encapsulates the average blender user, mentally ill

I recently tried to buy some tutoring or courses online for Blender. I had a good budget, was looking for something good as I already have 15 years of experience in 3D but never touched this soft and I no longer have time to figure out stuff on my own.

Literally, all tutorials, videos, courses and "professionals" work looks like it was done by a 14-year-old. Udemy, Skillshare you name it it all looks the same..

It isn't a bad software you can do a lot of stuff with it(check subreddit), but it just isn't on par with c4d and maya and when you tell this to blendlets they start calling you a shill

Lol okay blendlet, go pirate a 1 year old c4d version and compare it to the newest blender version. The difference is night and day

Just because a mentally ill tranny uses the software and shills it, doesn't represent all of blender users, you and i are as much responsible for the garbage threads on 3 as the ones making them by responding with "idiotic responses", could have ignored it and the thread would have died in the first day.

Anonymous No. 849124

>>849065
I really don't know it was months ago, where can I find a list of 3d modelling softwares so I can check them out and maybe find it?
>>849105
>doesn't represent all of blender users
But the tranny is only a hint of the mentality of blendlets, I mean seriously look at this entire board it's a dwelling place for the blendlets to talk about the "superiority of FOSS and how blender is the real deal. If one of them works as a professional using blender I am leaving this board and never coming back(joke)
>you and i are as much responsible for the garbage threads on 3 as the ones making them by responding with "idiotic responses", could have ignored it and the thread would have died in the first day
No no no no, the response is crucial for the other Anons, they need to be warned about the blendlets. This thread must go on as a symbol about their pathetic existence and constant boasting about using blender.
>3d artists come to talk about their projects and how to make some stuff easier
>blendlets come rushing in oozing from their mouth "BLENDER BLENDER IS SUPERIOR, YOU CAN MAKE EVERYTHING FOR FREE REEEEEEEEW YOU'RE AN INDUSTRY SHILL IF YOU DISAGREE"
>discussion about modelling stops and an argument is made how blender is a good software but just not on par with paid software
>blendlets loose their sanity screeching about the shills while never really engaging in any discussions about modelling

lol no. I have the latest Steam version of Blender and just loading an example scene from Blender's official website is a pain in the ass. Meanwhile my C4DR20 works with almost everything I tried.

c4d doesn't even have UDIMs, it's just as bad as blender in every way except mograph.

Go maya + houdini or go home.

i tried getting into modeling once but forgot all of it. the one thing i remember is that the material thing in blender sucks ass and that baking the textures doesn't fucking work.

There's shit done in Blender because it's free and more people get to try it, no one'll drop $1,545/year in 3DS Max not knowing how to use it.

Blender cultists... After 2.8 they started multiplying like crazy. they don't model, animate or contribute in any shape or form. they just praise the words of Blender all day long and attack anyone that don't hold their views.
They hold extreme views and should be purged from the Blender community.

imagine a world, larger then the inflated ego in the form of a country that is USA....

Anonymous No. 851421

I think it's as simple as this:
People who invest an enormous number of hours into practicing and producing an extensive portfolio almost certainly intend to enter the industry. If you're entering industry, you'd be silly not to use industry-standard tools to do all that portfolio work.
Blender users are therefore more likely to be curious beginners with no particular long-term plan to go pro.

It's just a function of consensus and convention. If something were to force everyone to switch to Blender tomorrow, there would be an awkward transition period, but everyone would return to current levels of quality and productivity quickly enough. Whatever shortcomings it has could be addressed with focussed development effort, add-ons, etc.

I'd argue otherwise since I don't like generalizing, but anecdotally I can attest to the fact that all Blender enthusiasts at my studio are indeed multi-pronoun, dyed hair retards.

Anonymous No. 852241

I spent a few months last year/earlier this year learning Blender for the first time, but had to take a break for projects that paid money using the skills I already have (After Effects/Premiere) but I'm thinking of getting back into 3D now that I have a new full time job that never requires working past 5pm.

I started with Blender, because I didn't want to commit to purchasing software if I gave it up. But since I want to use 3D to enhance my motion skillset, I've been thinking of purchasing Cinema 4D or maybe Houdini - any thoughts of which would be better for motion work? Any recommended ThemTube channels or even paid courses that I should look into doing (the donut series equivalent for C4D/Houdini). Would appreciate feedback from anyone, but if you are an actual motion artists, that would be ideal

Houdini is way more capable than Cinema4D, but with C4D you'll hit the ground running faster
nothing stops you from getting good at C4D and looking into Houdini later on as the need arises. Houdini (Indie) is quite cheap too, so it's not a big deal to pick to only use as a side tool for a while
