Composition is a very complex theme, you won't get it from looking at a few examples. For a start, It's about giving your scene structure so it's perceived as a whole. That's the point of arranging things in a simple structure, like a cross or a triangle. Things should feel part of the whole somehow. Then you probably want to achieve some balance, either static or dynamic. Also the structure should serve the scene, if your structure has two main lines or directions, there better be something relevant were they meet, if there's an element in an empty space apart from the rest, it will be accentuated by the negative space, etc. You can watch a lot of pictures with great composition, but in the end the composition you choose should be informed by what you want to tell, you can't just use any composition for any piece just because it is great.

Example of what?
It's all dependent on your scene and what you want to tell the viewer.
At least give an example of what you're trying to do with a scene.
