How does /3/ feel about Toolbag 4?
How is the new texturing workflow? How does it stack up against the big boys like Substance and Mari? Or even the other up & comers like Mixer and Blender?

I'm desperately trying to fix bake problems due to ultra low polycount on my low poly, but it NEEDS to be that low poly for a project. The problem is that when the object is so low poly, some curved info gets fucked up bakes and not even that godlike skew painting tool in marmo can fix it. I have no clue what to do. Should I just manually clean it up in Photoshop? I've been trying to get those perfectly round circle shapes in a normal map correct with a smudge tool, but it's a bit blurry, messy and hard to do.
Any better solution for baking on very low poly assets? I've seen some article about baking where they suggested adding 1 subbdiv level to a low poly while baking and removing it later on, but that messes up the normal map as well because the shading isn't the same on those 2 low poly versions. And while it may bake nicely on one, it will look like shit on a final low poly.

Is there any way to get the library assets online? I'm not so sure about the product or with it will fit my needs, but the "generic" version I've got doesn't come with any materials or brushes...

what do you guys think, will i still be able to use all marmo 4 tools with my old card?

You will probably need a custom cage to bake properly, most of the apps give you one slider that inflates the whole cage of the model uniformly. If you upload the models I would be happy to test it out for you.

I always though this thing was a meme, but it really surprised me, it has the most intuitive, practical, god fearing UI I've ever seen in 3d apps.
Could use more tools though.

No shit it's shut down are you new? There are alternatives for non elites like Persia with shitty transfers and sometimes you can find goodies on 1337 if it's known software

Why use it when I can use quixel mixer for free or substance if I want to pay?

it's pretty easy to fix baking mistakes in it, its got considerably more functionality than subtance's baker. just having that is worth it enough for me, and I haven't even tried rendering or all the other stuff it can do

I don't know why are my normals always worse when baked in Marmo compared to SP. Even if I just leave default settings, SP always bakes correctly, while Marmo gets fucked. Now I can't get a nice bake of a sharp corner (pic related is just an example, I have this same sharp corner like these upper ones on the broken pillars) no matter what I do. I tried using a cage, redoing UVs a few times and adding a bevel to a LP, painting offset - nothing works. I get tons of black spots and other bake errors. Then I dropped it in SP, used default settings and it just works. Idk what to do, I'm supposed to use Marmo for bakes in my current project, but I can't get it to work properly.

I stopped using it over the black spots issue. I never even have to mess with a cage is sp it just werks.
