Why should it be a Chinese tutorial? there's going to be a lot of things lost in translation if you had subtitles

they basically start with a basemesh anyway

It's not available there, but I think what would be suitable would be to post the type of assignments that they get.

I agree. I've used multiple asian tuts and each one sucks dick along the way. Lost in translation if you want to call it that but they fucking suck at literal translations. Fuck asian tutorials. Even if all you're doing is anime/hentai dumb shit; just stick to a normal youtube tut.

There's really no "asian magic", they're using the same techniques as the west. It's just a matter of finding right refs and correct workflow.

Most of them don't sculpt from scratch, they just edit basemeshes since they're already UV unwrapped. Not saying that it's a bad thing, it just makes them focus more easily on the final product.

If you read a book you don't read word for word. You just take the important bits out quick. Same thing when watching ching chong tuts with no english subs.

anon is right; techniques are all the same. that 'style' you want is caused by adjusting general proportions, color themes/ vibrancy, etc. to fit an Asian audience. I suggest the best way to mimic this is to look for *how* the stylization differs from a more western works and be aware of these differences in your own art.

This, a lot of asian 3d modellers rather take used sculpt to make another model because it's easier if you have base reference
