Texturing is easier if you use a 3D painting app and have proper UV maps.

I don't personally know you, but up until recently i felt the same, so i'll leave you with the conclussion i ended on: Look for something you enjoy even when you're shit at it, you'll do it because you want to and practice without realizing it. For me it ended up being photography, and luckily some of the things i learned about 3D ended up being useful for it. If you don't find anything, do what you hate the least
