There is no substitute for quality - either you can do it, or you can't.
Would you hire somebody who can't do quality work?
What is there besides quality?
Price? - you have to compete with people who are cheap yet still are able to provide (more) quality. You'll lose.
Quantity? - you have to work harder and more than others and you still have to compete with people who are better or cheaper, more disciplined or smarter (or all of them together). You'll lose.
Working smarter yourself and push out more stuff in less time - the fact that you are here asking stupid questions means that this way is not for you.
Uniqueness? - useless without quality and probably not something you are able to provide since it is even harder than doing "normal" quality stuff.
>what should my portofolio lean to?
What you want to do and what you are able to do well. If you can't tell easily, than that probably means there is nothing you can do well.
If you don't even know what you want to do, then there is nothing anybody can do for you - you're hopeless and NGMI.

how stupid. it s like you havent seen everything. you are just loud but i ve heard this from any other newbies. you should be ashamed but i am used to forgiving newbies.
so here goes:
between very simple and very detailed, i m right inbetween. and the simple art sure has comedy as four koma, while the detailed ones has no stories at all, and they both tie up in traffic and views, and somehow fitting in the middle of either, gets me nothing. not even half of their profits.

what the hell is that then? it seems more than quality, you need merits and credits and a whole lot of connections. isnt it? it s unfairly nepotical, and honestly i dont no one is able to tell. you dont seem too.

just like how pixiv art can have little less than they are in deviantart so...what s up with that?

ok here s some supporting proof for your "what else than quality"

here s all the top covers on a certain comic site, and you tell me theyre all of equal merits and quality. even their choice of things to put on varies from details vs narrative: some given less details, means less effort, in favour of narrative. and yet theyre all in the same top shelves, and this is usually what happen everywhere else... so you cannot keep telling me "qualities" when the external values each and every art all leans on, are also based on its intrinsic values, be it narrative or the...what soever
you call, uniqueness then.

so it seems unless the whole stuff leans some where and somehow, equal details are not treated equally and i seriously hope there is actually a current guide for this because it seems as such.

But those are comics... not 3d work. There's more to being a comic artist than just being able to draw well.
Unless you want to be a 3d comic artist being able to produce quality work is the main thing employers will look for.
