Since light linking is a feature blender doesnt have.
Does this mean I need to composite on a third party app?
I cant use blender compositor because I need 8 directional angles for a 2D game character.
What I want to ask, is that if manual retouching and compositing on third party apps are part of real advanced 3D animations?

You can add multiple light sources, hide them in renders, and export them along with a camera. What do you mean?

why do you care? you need to get through the beginner stage first.
and yes, compositing is frequently, if not always, done on complex productions.

Looks like it's time to swap to Maya!
