Best photorealistic render engine for blender?
I will try to use maya if there's no such thing for blender, but I would love if there was an elite photoreal renderer that didnt need complex setup and was just press render to get photoreal elite industry renders.

I wanna still reuse my blender skills, but I wanna see first if there's some elite third party render addon engine I can use before switching.

Marmoset is the thingy people use at my work for their portfolio renders. But if you want to stick with blender stick with it i just hope you don't do your textures in it.

No, I need some photoreal renders for maybe eventually making some basic animation or just illustrations.

there is no 'magic photorealistic button' for any render engine. you can get great photorealistic results with any big-name render engine, cycles included, but you need to put in the work yourself. maybe the closest thing there is to a 'magic photorealism button' is corona render (citing this video https://youtu.be/myg-VbapLno?t=544 ) but its very slow (also according to that video) and you still need to put in the work to get good results

How do I get top tier elite results with cycles?

no because I am retarded hobbyist who's too busy to take his own advice, but I'm sure you can find some good stuff on google. what are you trying to render? beyond modeling, good texturing and lighting are also very important. try finding stuff about those things. it doesn't need to be specific to cycles either. you can apply generic texturing and lighting principles to any rendering engine

I want to make a few photoreal renders, as a challenge to improve my 3D skills.

Of what? Are you modeling them from scratch? Are you using premade assets?
Maybe try replicating an existing render, seeing where you're lacking in skill, and improving in each area you're not great at till you can reliably recreate good renders

the goal is to make them from scratch.
Again, is more a learning project to improve my skills.

Renderman is not idiot-proof as OP is clearly an idiot, judging by his demands and inability to write properly.

You are nowhere near skilled enough for your choice of render engine to be the limiting factor in how realistic your renders are. Just use cycles.

PRMan and Arnold renderer if you want to be industry elite fag.
Mitsuba renderer if you want to be academic elite fag.
