I wish they would release the hair tool as standalone software. That's some next level black magic.

Is it possible to put a game's assets into it and use them instead of an anime doll?

You need to import them in blender first by making it specific format

I feel like some options are missing, I used to be able to adjust face roundness with one or two sliders before.

It's definitely not black magic in the slightest, but it is quite friendly and quick to use in comparison to setting up the same curves in a generalist application.

Can you export whatever you create in Koikatsu?
I would buy it, but it's banned from sale in my country.

just use the koikatsu /h/ repack and the unity exporter.

They allow commercial use and the base models are cc0. Only thing you can't do is use exported models to make your own character creator it seems. Some of the built in textures/models have different licences.

KK shader pack, v5 automates the process of import into blunder and then you bake to export into other programs. Couldn't make shadows behave the same way they did in Koik, but that might be because it's blender shading vs koik own shading plus I am a blendlet.

The shaders do not concern me. I can easily recreate them in Arnold or RM. I want the general geometry+uvs, maybe the rig plus proper weighting but that's a bonus.
But that moot since I can't buy the game here anyways.
