>duplicate low res model, scale up along normals OR adjust so it cover the whole high res model, rename as "whatever_cage".
>OBVIOUSLY unwrap your low res model and do the UV map thingy.
>Assign material to low res model.
>Add a texture image to your material and select it.
>Set rendering engine to Cycles.
>Select in order, low, high.
>Go to the bake section on render settings, select normal, selected to active, add your cage, bake.
>Profit.
