๐Ÿงต Why 3D is Not an Art

Anonymous No. 862037

It's essentially impossible to stop progress.

I'm not going to bore you with an essay, since 1. not only does everyone have the ability to write(or so they say) or 2. everyone seems to have something up their ass on why they can't succeed. I'm also not going to bother explaining anything in an emotional context, that's worthless.

My idea is that I'd like to tell everyone here that their ability to progress in the world 3D is only stopped by them. They should understand by interacting with negativity and broken promise to themselves that they will not get anywhere nor will they understand anything that might benefit them worthwhile in the future.

3D in itself is a stupid little art meant to pretend that everyone who wants to be famous CAN become famous through their little sculptures or creations that they made in 1-2 months. What's the point of even doing it for such a purpose if no one is going to gain the worldwide success.

The mind is a barrier to the soul and I feel that if I type or "write" too much it might hurt some people's heads. This is probably the only place in existence that you can get a semblance of realistic critic or something so banal and retarded that you might just quit altogether.

Why do you do 3D? IF YOU realize you will never get better, never get that fame like you always wanted?

Why not be like DaVinci?

I think what most people get wrong is that 3D stuff and stuff that looks nice in general is not art per se. Working in the industry you have to think more like a designer. Good design puts the functionally at first place, then the form follows. In that sense, design (and 3d) is a craft one has to learn. You don't really need artistic capabilities. On the contrary, art don't has to be functional or pretty.
I myself am pretty comfortable being a craftsmen and earning good money with it.
The artistical aspect for me is only a hobby.

You've got it twisted in your head brother. Most who deep dive into 3DCG know there is no fame or glory at the end of the path- This becomes obvious once you realize the man hours necessary to make work of value. This is not a negative realization- This permits growth, not only as an artist, but as a human. You pursue technical excellence for internal accomplishment, with any external appreciation being 1 part of the whole of the fruit of your labor

Sounds like you are cynical, and maybe depressed. Your sentences also barely make sense, kind of pathetic that you try to type like you know more. You know nothing, and it is clear to me and everyone else that you don't know the first thing about hardship or sacrifice when making art

What is Art?

Anonymous No. 862115

I want to create an artists work in a 3D enviornment. They learn to draw and I learn 3D. They cant do what i do without years of expertise and vice versa. This is the dichotomy thats been created.
