I'm working on a blender plugin to help create 3d generative avatar nfts since there's practically no information about it online. I've managed to develop some basic functionality and I was curious if any of you had any suggested features you would want in such a plugin.

hey anon, I've been working on a set myself but doing each one by hand since it seems like the decent programs are 2d only. No real suggestions but would be excited to try it out whenever you get to a point you're ready to share.

Yeah, I could use someone to test it out when it's ready, post a throwaway or a tg or something

A necessity would probably be a manual setting for occurance/rarity of certain "traits" as it seems every NFT collection has rare/one-of-a-kind traits

Oh and a "preview" mode would be nice, you could generate a random one and see how just one looks

Why are NFTs so popular again? Was there not a talk in the 3d community about how they are not worth it soon after they came out. Now even Gary Vaynerchuck keeps talking about it and the donut guru is selling shit.
But t b h if Gary thinks you should care about this, maybe we really should, he seems to “get” this shit right every time. Last time it was with tiktok. But this just seems so dumb and I don’t feel like creating an absolute crap of an art which sells. From what I’ve seen, only shitty artists who don’t have the skills to make it in the industry are doing it.

basically when it started people were trying to sell actual art, the market got flooded and nobody cared.
how it came back was by selling sets of fucking thousands of the things so they're instantly recognisable like a brandname, the easiest way to be recognisable of course is being ugly as fuck, if they looked good and were unique then it wouldn't be immediately recognisable as being part of a set.
So in order for you to have "unique" art it needs to be as samey as possible and also ugly as fuck, clown world.

The purpose of NFT art is money laundering. Simple as.

the art thing is just a way to force the issue and get some attention for big crypto players. the gold rush will end.
what they really want is larger companies to start selling their dlcs etc as nfts so it pumps the prices of the coins up.
why would ubi/ea/activision give a shit about selling stuff as nfts when they already have infrastructure?
truthfully, they might not - nfts are a buzzword right now and they need to say shit to their boomer investors.
but there is money to be made on secondary market trading. massive amounts of it. valve/steam has been doing this for years. nfts let anyone do it.
plus the big guys won't lose any control whatsoever - if they want to blacklist everything in your wallet they'll happily do it. it's very easy. they just use a regular database for that; not a blockchain, because that would be retarded.

Because rich criminals use them to launder/hide money, so if you can produce shitload of random images, you can help some guy in colombia hide his $200 million dollars, and earn yourself a slice of the pie at zero legal risk to yourself.

Alright I've made an add-on that produces randomized images with selected traits + JSON exporting + rarity functionality with custom properties.
The preview mode could be emulated by just choosing to generate a single image.
If anyone is interested i can post the GitHub link, I've been programming for a bit but this is my first time making a blender plugin.

Something like
>Ability to create base image /model
>Ability to create variation accessories and set the range of random variations / accessories that appear
> Toggle to randomize their location
>Toggle to randomize their colour
>Ability to generate sets of 5-10 at a time once the above settings were approved
Would be cool.

do people really care about money laundering despite using piracy sites that stay afloat from it?
politicians money launder all the time, about time it's decentralized to laymen
