Are there any 3.0 feature you're excited about?
Or any feature blender are planned for next year?

I only care about RfB (Renderman for Blender). It is S tier.

I am just a blender hobbyist, however, there's a few features I've always wanted officially added into blender so I wouldn't have to rely on add-ons:
1 - Precision modelling features, like this:
https://dev-files.blender.org/file/
Being able to perfectly align rotated objects in edit mode and snap specific parts of a mesh without destroying the origin point is really nice.
2 - Good UVW mapping
Sometimes you just wanna UVW map something without using nodes or six years old external add-ons like Magic UV.
Magic UV is a bit lackluster too, it doesn't allow you to individually control scale on specific axis.
I'm pretty sure 3ds max has this feature and more on it's UVW mapping for a decade at least.

Now to relate this to what you actually asked:
Blender devs have been teasing precision modelling on their developer . blender workboard for years now. I've kept an eye on it but nothing ever comes out from that.

Take a look at this old roadmap from 2020:
"Precision modeling" on 2.91
Anonymous at Sun, 21 Nov 2021 10:27:21 UTC No. 863606
have they improved texture paint for 2.9/3.0? using blender for the first time in a year and im close to finishing my model so i can start textures, i wanna know if i should even try or figure out pirating another program for it.

Won't be getting any attention for at least a year or two, look into 3dcoat textura for handpainted or substance for otherwise

this is the roadmap for the sculpt mode, performance, vdm, and layers are there again but no paid developer.
https://developer.blender.org/T9322
Sculpt proxies could be interesting if it is something that the program automatically do and you don't have to set up everything
No news about the texture paint mode sadly

The Grease Pencil tweaks look nice, Cycles X looks like it'll be good too, and the Asset Browser will speed things up.

Texture baking. Blender has all the nodes to make a good material, but it can take hours upon hours to bake normals from high poly to low poly, manually selecting every single object and tweaking extrusion distance. And in any moment you can fuck up and bake wrong map on already saved image, and save it over, and then start all over again. I have to pirate substance and remake all the nodes when 90% of the work is done only because Blender suck so hard on other 10%.

texttools addon is good if you need baking some normal map or oclussion or other map.

>>863701
yes it is a helpful addon for UV mapping, but it doesn't help much for baking since Blender itself is pretty shit at baking properly.
Accelerating the process is a great start, but you still get only subpar bakes that take way too long.

will be ages before baking is right, it needs to be rebuilt for cycles X and the file management/organisation is terrible anyway.

Any chance they're fixing fire/smoke sims?
I followed tutorials for like 2.79 and it looked amazing but for some reason smoke always looks like shit in the latest version.

GOOD MORNING BLENDER SIRS!

You're absolutely wrong mate.
Blender has a new smoke solver since a while called Mantaflow and together with the new volume material it makes it look much more better than the old system. Problem is, Mantaflow is slow as fuck and is still pretty amateurish compared to other solutions on the 3D market. It is however a step up compared to 2.79. Sadly, the dev who implemented Mantaflow isn't actively working on it and in terms of speed and additional functionality there is nothing that can be fixed, since it is just a port of an already established solver, the dev cannot and did not write it himself from scratch. There is nobody else able or willing to work on something new, so Blender users are stuck with what they have right now.
Thankfully there is fully working VDB support so I would recommend you use Houdini or something else to sim, then import it into Blender to render it there. If you have a good GPU - Embergen just got cracked recently, so you might want to check that out.

Extra procedural texture patterns. Not just all those noise patterns. Having to create texture maps over and over gets tedious. Things like random shapes or l-system textures to create veins for minerals and all that.

If they manage to make a decent asset manager, that with geo nodes will be pretty neat.

dude not cool. How can you use FLOSS blender and yet PIRATE freaking Adobe?!

yes.
But now that you mention it, there is a free UV packer I totally forgot about.
https://www.uv-packer.com/
Also you can get some functionality of the UV toolkit 2 in the free addon textools:
https://github.com/SavMartin/TexToo
and there is a free version of the UV toolkit, which has a limited feature-set compared to the paid one, but still...

If you want to use FLOSS, use FLOSS. Dont steal as well, defeats the purpose.

What purpose?
I am not a retard and use tools because of some stupid ideology, the only reason to use a tool is because it is useful. PERIOD.
I own older permanent licenses of Substance Painter and Designer and I would have bought new ones too if they hadn't sold out to Adobe - now I am pirating their shit, simple as that.

its also "useful and simple" to do many things like spy on people like the CCP and other government agencies do with tracking software. However, this is wrong. Theft is also wrong. Dont steal just because someone writes software for a living as opposed to a physical product. Everyone operates according to some philosophical terms. For you, your philosophy is that stealing is right. This is a ridiculous philosophy to hold and it makes me certain that you are beneath 80 iq.
