hello /3/
I was thinking of making a small 3d studio to upload and sell 3d packs on websites like unity, unreal, cgtrader.......etc

I tried working on it alone but is very frustrating and time-consuming. The last pack i did was one with race track props (just testing) and made about 100$ this month only from it, yeah i know its low.

>Should I continue making this kind of 3d packs they are selling better than single items
> Make a small team or not?
Perhaps anyone wants to join from here

If so tell me why this is a shit idea

u should make a professional website and run facebook ads/google ads at $10/day after you create like 20 packs and then see which perform the best and focus on making more of those

I'm close to being finished with one pack for a client. This has been an exhausting experience. There are so many technical details to think about and everything needs to be perfect so later on I don't get bombarded with shit reviews from normies. VERY time consuming and in the end it probably will be my least smart business decision financially speaking.

Even well known studios that were dominating marketplaces slowed down because it is just too competitive.

If it works well for you, then great. I still thought about maybe putting my future environments on the marketplace, since I'll make them as personal projects anyway, but the thing is that when it's a personal project, I don't bother with half of the technical details, like perfect optimization, LODs, good FPS etc. Not to mention you can't use Megascans or similar libraries, which can be painful when I need some tertiary details that are annoying to make from scratch.
