With the improvements made to the Grease pencil, and the addition of the new pose library and asset browser, Blender has become a viable alternative to Adobe Animate and Maya. Why again are you not using blender Anon?

I do use Blender and I love it, but I recognize that it still has areas of weaknesses where other applications are stronger in.

I use Blender (more than you probably do), but for the love of god can you fucking stop your autism for one fucking second. You're not "converting" anyone by citing improvements. Why the fuck do you even care what program anon's are using? You don't even have work to post or anything you fucking faggot.

It's always "Uhhhhhmmm!11 Improvementrs!!!" with the LITERAL first result picture for blender as a pic.

Either post work, or fucking kill yourself.

It's another Cris thread, you've been baited.
He's a colombian schizo, he posts a hate letter to the blender foundation and the next day he makes a thread licking their boots.
Just don't bother replying. If you do, always sage.

Asset browser is probably have a bigger impact on workflow than one expects, but the performance improvements to Cycles is the highlight of this release.

GPU rendering is 2x-8x faster than in 2.93, that's a BIG performance increase for a key feature.

kys Cris. Blender is used by no name artists that barely get attention on artstation. No, Pablo waifufag and donutfag don't count.

Maya mogs blender in animation.
Zbrush mogs blender in sculpting
Substance mogs blender in texturing.
I only use Blender for hard surface modelling and doing smart uv unwrap / seams. It is shitty for anything else.

I noticed after half a month during my newfag time that Blender is a mostly shit software to use as all in one, especially the trash animation system which is impossible to work with, riddled with severe perfomance issues in comparison to Maya which runs flawless clean like butter.
I have Zbrush, Maya 2021, (Blender), Marvelous Designer and Substance painter.
The best combo for me, uniting all programs strength into one eternal superpower.

Lol mentioning Blender here is like throwing holy water to a vampire. Most people here are try hard elitists that think they're cool because they learned Maya. Meanwhile Blender has more features and its free.

No, because that software does a better job than your bloated, half assed multitool "all in one" does. Anybody will realize this after spending time in Blender. Hence it's not even considered to be industry quality standard. Switching to Maya for animation made life much more easier considering how much more professional it is on top of that.

>more features
No

Yes

Max/maya might be better, and blender does have a lot of areas where it is lackluster, but for the most part it's fine.

Nobody in this board makes complex renders, like big animations or simulations anyway, so it doesn't matter.
A combo of Blender with a couple of specialized tools like zbrush and Substance is enough

>it is not industry standard
First of all. You do not work in the "industry". It doesn't matter. Shut it.

>that software does a better job than your bloated, half assed multitool "all in one" does.
It's still a very powerful tool and it does its job. You clearly have no idea how to use it.

>Switching to Maya for animation made life much more easier considering how much more professional it is on top of that.
You pirated Maya, that's not very "professional" of you, dipshit. Good luck when they find out you're using stolen software in your future job. Oh wait, you don't have a job in the 3dcg industry.

I agree with you but you have to consider what "more features" mean since some of them are extremely important. The ability to sculpt competently in Blender is a huge asset compared to Mayas joke of "sculpting" tools. Also anyone who thinks Maya is not bloated is delusional (not you specifally) just compare the size of Maya and the size of Blender.

Another huge feature many people ignore is the ability to run Blender without any instalation from an USB drive. This is huge because you literally have a full suite of tools you can deploy anywhere and people would be non the wiser.

Finally other features like texture painting, grease pencil and hell even the BFDF material nodes are game changing.

People can use whatever theyre comfortable with but I dont know what makes this board so loyal to Maya when Autodesk thinks more about what IPs to acquire rather than innovating.
