Bringing animation systems and gamecontrols up to par with current era visuals.
I feel like visual fidelity is the only thing that keep improving at steady pace. Everything else is at standstill or even regressing.

I'm not really sure yet man. I love to make, and I am happy with my accomplishments so far. I am happy that others value what I make. I do not think I wish to work for larger entity. I know forming something of your own is incredibly stressful and a huge risk, But I am drawn to the idea of getting the best in the world together to make the best media ever. Imagine that... I think a team of 10 could accomplish incredible things. I need capital, of course. And I need to complete my current project, which will hopefully gather a bit of capital to give me a kick into what I dream of building.

My first large project produced no capital for me; it was never designed for commercial success. Wasn't really designed for anything... It was a year's worth of dedicated, fun work. But what I gained from it was enough notoriety to get my name into a world filled with other artists. And people seem to respect this leap, and I am thankful. I hope to bring enjoyable creation to the world and inspire others to pursue their own ideas and say fuck you to the beaten path. I hope to go far and I shoot for the best I can be

I also must not stagnate. Progression is prime to me, as is personal style, flair, showmanship, and display of craft and attention to detail

In regards to professional work, senior with a senior paycheck.

In regards to personal work that's a bit harder because my goals are always changing, I'm always trying new stuff, sometimes I like to do environment art, sometimes I get into doing real time VFX, recently I've wanted to make a game.

So I think I'm already at my end goal which is to keep finding new ways to make it interesting and never lose sight of how good it feels to make art, the skill will always be improving because that's just the nature of how I interact with it.

This is a great goal, are you involved in TA work? I like the thinking- it is an issue I've faced while working within game engines- bringing animation into and working with them there feels like walking through mud

>senior with a senior paycheck
doesn't sound too bad to me- Stability, comfort in this life... Using skills (hopefully) to their fullest. Would this be in a place you have had employment at, currently working your way up, Or do you see it as more of a head hunted type of situation? I'm not sure how that world works , especially in fields related to 3d, or art in general. I have no experience in the actual industry, working for a company/team

>never lose sight of how good it feels to make art
this makes me happy to read, and it is something to keep in the pocket when feeling... lost

I think it was a mistake to start doing this professionally when I live in a country with almost no opportunities but don’t want to / am afraid to relocate to a different country. I can only count on studios that let you be fully remote, but that seems to be rare. I’m in a good one right now, but long term I’ll probably have troubles.

My end goal would probably be to reach a good position in one of the best studios, but that is out of the question. I am jelly of people who have great studios in their hometown. I kinda don’t want to keep moving all across the world all the time, one of my teachers at uni was like that and it sounded stressful.

I don't know anymore... I feel like I'm losing my drive, because what's the point? I don't want to be a production artist forever, no matter at what leading position I could be at one day. CEO of my own company? And what, grinding soulless artwork for production again?
