You can learn some pretty basic skills and get by making some convincing stuff with tutorials within months but there are some anons on here who insist it will take years. For you newfags please don't get discouraged by this. Keep practicing.

t. guy who started 3D in 2017, made pretty cool stuff after a few months but nothing good enough to care about until 2020.
please, don't quit. just because it takes a long time doesn't mean it's not worth it. the 3D community is filled with amazing people and everyone wants to help you and collab with you, especially the blender community because it doesn't have much corporate use.
