๐Ÿงต Mudbox vs ZBrush

Anonymous No. 870683

Which are pro and con points of each side?
I've been a Zbrush user but looking to maybe try Mudbox out. Is it worth it or should I stick with Zbrush instead?

Pro: Zbrush
Con: mudbox

From what I've heard, ZBrush's UI is less intuitive initially, but is overall just a better program, once you get used to it. If you've already started learning ZBrush, you might just wanna stick with it

Mudbox is Autod*sk, so 1 million license processes and other assorted garbage running in the background to make sure your experience feels like passing out a week long constipation turd.
Other than that is quite ok.

Zbrush, industry standard bla bla, it's really lightweight, has a lot of useful tools, but also has that demonic UI which the devs seem to think is intuitive or something. So, if you use it daily you get the hang of it, if you use it occasionally it's a fucking nightmare to remember what LShift+Alt+k+TAB+LMB does and where the fuck is "import object".

Both are good, Zbrush just looks better in your resume.
