Just bought Marmoset last night on the 20% off sale. Such a huge step up from xNormal and Painter. I honestly cannot believe i used to bake in Painter.

Idk, the skewing control is useful in some cases, but overall I find painter easier to set up. Toolbag has some weird UI in that regard.

Imagine caring about bakes when Nanite exists. Low poly meshes will have (they already do) hundreds of k tris, you won’t have problems with skews anymore, and so SP is more than good enough baker.
But ok, I’m forcing it a bit, not everyone will use UE5.
Honestly just having a bit nicer baker isn’t worth it for me personally, but if it is for you, that’s fine.

Should I get a sub? What can I expect from Marmoset that i can't do in Blender + PS already?

no OP but the way you can adjust the bake in certain problem areas in Marmoset is amazing compared to the wash/rinse/repeat of trying to get a clean bake out of Painter
