Is makehuman used by industry professionals?

Anonymous No. 873800

Yes, but if someone made a target that fixes the ears and jawline more people would be using it. Also to take it one step further get an improved basemesh so that muscles can be more easily sculpted. The current proxy system is useless IMO

Make human is more of a joke than DAZ

I used to play with makehuman all the time when I was first starting making horror stills or shorts. But I'm not quite sure anyone uses it anymore. Not that anything is wrong with it but there are better, more intuitive addons and sites that achieve the same thing.

actually no it isn't.

DAZ is a bloated garbage, not to mention you need to buy everything.

Makehuman is at least free.

The Genesis figures are all free and their topology is great. Industry standard if not higher for Genesis 8/3 and top tier for Genesis 2.

I just want to create procedural standin characters, that have different clothing, heights, and either male/female. But they all haft to be japanese, since it's a japanese environment.

but when I open Daz im looking at a stupid naked t pose character and I have no idea how to turn it into a fully posed one, with clothes, ect.

I just want photo realistic procedural humans. I dont want to pay, I dont want to spend 3 years making it.

I want the base OBJ subdivided ad a better UV layout. I got a hold of the OBJ and did that, but was unable to actually get it into the software.
All the targets/shape keys should still work after this, and you could then add more detail. I hate github and coding shit

If you put effort in learning zbrush in a few months you could get vastly superior results but that's the harder yet rewarding option no one takes so guess it's invalid...

Anonymous No. 877123

Just remember to download the perspective add-on. It's orthographic by default, so everything you make will look like shit until you get it into 3rd party software

Not really, you have to pay extra for a game license or something like that and you can't use the models as a basemesh either.

It kind of boggles my mind that furfags haven't come up with one, honestly. With all their autism you'd think they'd have done it years ago.

Anonymous No. 880822

I figure 90% get put off by it on the first try. First of the default character looks quite bad. Next the camera is orthographic, and the lithosphere lighting also doesn't help. You could make a perfect model, but it still looks like garbage inside of Makehuman.

You don't get to see what the model actually looks like until it is imported into a real 3d software.
