You can produce art if you're a mute and also probably mentally ill, but you'll struggle at succeeding as a 3D artist professionally. It's not like you'll just join a company or team and they'll just put you alone in a room to work on 3D models, you'd have to actually be a part of the project that's going on and communicate with others about what is and isn't feasible to execute and whatnot.

Certain 'learning disabilities' and developmental disorders or 'mental illnesses' can be seen to have more 'creative' individuals, or just that they gravitate more towards some subjects (an autist is more likely to be good at programming than a normie, by far)

I'm not saying it's a fact (except for more obvious ones like autism -> reclusive -> learns programming) but links have been made. Research is limited and would have to account for the fact that some people just don't get diagnosed because they're too dumb for anyone to care that 10% of their dumbness is from a specific issue and they'll fail school anyway.
Specifically I would say that "normie" arts would be more like painting/photography/graphic design compared to 3DCG which has a lot more digital autist basis, i.e. you're interested in games.
