Apply anyway, they sometimes put all that shit in requirements, but it’s not actually necessary. That’s at least what I heard.

But yes, generally you need to be pretty advanced to get even a junior position in a studio.

I really don't understand how companies expect candidates with 3+ years of experience to appear out of thin air when every fucking job listing is like this.

Mobile games can make more money than AAA games so the requirements have gone through the roof.

60k is piss poor pay. They also dont release AAA games anymore.

that job is for an indian. they don't have those requirements, and they make the product infinitely worse, but it saves money in the long run, because america is made up of immigrants, consumers, and criminals.

I've seen role that were for junior 3D artist with requirement : modeling, texturing, all aspect of rendering, rigging, animation, cloth simulation, muscle simulations, and fx in a real time engine; Granted I think I saw only one that had muscle simulations, but I don't know how those fucking guy put this in requirement and expect people with 0 experience to apply for pisspoor money.

On the opposite big gaming company have less requirement and seems reasonable
Then I see on linkedin a reshare of a company about someone landing a role, and when I see their artstation it's shit quality. I don't know anymore. Literally one guy in my class managed to find a job after graduating. This industry seems closed as fuck and it pisses me off

>inb4 "your work is just trash"
honestly think it's ok for a guy with no experience, but compared to the top 1% of junior yes it's below

You know why they do that, because the people there cant do shit by themselves, and want someone who can be a de facto project manager, do-it-all ,and, do it for minimum salary possible.
Seed money "game" companies do this all the time, someone has connections and gets a substantial amount of money, but then realize the original bros cant do anything other than rant about "passion for video games" and other inanities like that, they are pure marketing.
So they try to fish out the most bang for their buck, and in case the company flops (most cases) they still get much of the seed money in the form of bloated CEO/CFO/Art Dir/PM etc salaries.

The thing with this is three fold:
1.they expect determined newbies to apply anyway, but many don't and that way they have less CVs to sort through(imagine how many more CVs would they have to sort through if they lowered these requirements. Everyone would apply)
2.after you apply and do the art test, they can tell you taht since you're exactly qualified as per what they requested, they can hire you in a junior or intern position and give you a much smaller salary. That way they get decent artists for the price of noobs
3.Many times, at the moment the open position is posted(I think they are legally required to in some places), the role has already been filled behind the curtains through networking(aka nepotism). So the outrageous requirement are just so that they can reject everyone who apply via official channels.

>because the people there cant do shit by themselves,
Yea i've seen a few ads that were obviously posted by an hr that had no idea how the fuck 3D work and except you to do everything. Problem for me (as a guy that is looking for a job)is that there is some guy with more experience that is ready to take the job for a bad pay, and the rest is fucked, and the cycle continue.
Worst is when you take time to do a fucking test to get rejected. Even worse when it's a small company and you do them free work

I wouldn't even read the employer's requirements and just send them my resume. lying about my experience if I feel like. People are idiots and don't know what they want anyway. Ultimately whether you get employed or not depends if there's a position they need to fill urgently.

Also companies post fake job applications all the time literally expecting no one to respond to it. Then, they can claim there is no US citizen who would has skills for the job, and that gives them permit to import a pajeet or something like that.

they do the same in third world countries, all hrs around the world are the same

Yes, that's why you don't bother with resumes and just find someone actually in charge to whom you can sell your skills.
