Do you people find that if you're currently working a regular day job but want to transition to freelancing on polycount jobs or fiverr or whatever that you are unable to do even small jobs because they require you to be available for zoom and chat when you're at your day job?

Guess I'm lucky that none of my studios I work for require that, and they're not even some noname shitstudios, but serious ones. Video chat is a meme, why the hell would I need to show my face and talk over chat with someone all the time as a 3D artist who works on his own tasks. Everything is handled through text messages.

Yeah, it sucks, but there definitely are clients that will be fine with no zoom meetings and other bullshit like that. I don't know how common they are though. Maybe I stumbled upon the super rare ones, idk.
