๐งต Which software is used to create game worlds/levels?

I am an architecture student and I mostly use Rhino or Sketchup to build my 3D designs which I later render in Blender. But I always wondered how game levels and worlds are created and which software do game studios most often use to do it? Like picrel and video:

picrel is doom eternal, that was built in idTech 7, which is not available to the public but id have very briefly cockteased it to Digital Foundry

The video you linked was made in twinmotion judging by some of his other video responses. Which is essentially Unreal Engine but focused on archviz.
Most game studios use an in-house engine, but a good place to start if you're interested is Unreal Engine, very easy to hop into.

Block it out in an engine and export it

Very interesting observation. So recommendation would be to just start playing with Unreal Engine?

The other poster below you did a better job at explaining it but yes, just start using Unreal and go from there.
