Is XNALara a good program for model drawing reference? Or is Source Filmmaker better for this? I'm looking for a simple program where I can rotate game models for drawing reference

Xnalara isn't good for anything other than as an archive of horny game models ripped and converted by autists.
The posing tools are beyond archaic.

It's called blender.

So?
Blender has IK which is crucial for realistic posing, while XNALara does not even after 10+ years. Any real-time rendering edge XNALara had over Blender got completely thrown out the window with the advent of EEVEE.
Just stop whining and take the Blenderpill already, anon.

It's literally one key and one mouse button for what you want to do. If this is "retardedly difficult" for you, then I'm sorry to tell you this, but you might have brain deficits.

Daz Studio for everything art reference related like lighting, poses, perspective, anatomy, etc.
If you're just looking to gawk at specific static T-posed game models then Blender is the best choice as most people who rip game models usually make them Blender-compatible as well.

I decided to try Blender, first off where is the best place to download game models, and secondly, I notice the models are grayed out, how do you give them color/detail? Thanks

Xnalara isn't good for anything else besides posing, and even at this it is bad
ypu can very well import xnalara models into blender or some other software

What's the main resource people use to get models from? For Blender, etc.

Decide to use Daz Studio instead. If you're this much of a 3D novice, Daz Studio is the better option for you.
