This.

Use Sprytile. It's free, and it intersects with a superior tool with a superior interface.

I've used both, and I can say there is absolutely no reason to use Crocotile whatsoever.

Use it in tandem with pribambase and aseprite if you want to paint pixel art textures.

Good artists don't need those crutches, but there are no good artists on /3/ of course.

from what I can see crocotyle is a more complex tool for doing 3D tileset.s

Honestly, you wouldn't lose much to find out if it's good for you; it's just 25$.
Just don't go thinking that's what is holding you from making a great game; Don't lose too much time over what tools and get making, friend.

Sprytile is for modeling and texturing, whereas Crocotile 3D does those two things but also allows for easy texture tiling and texturing from a texture atlas.

Crocotile is an expensive and tedious tool in comparison to free stuff like Sprytile and gret. You can create landscapes in minutes using a plane and proportional editing with blender + those addons. Sprytile gives you free textures to start out with as well.

People gave you advice about this before too, I don't know why you're ignoring it and disagreeing with them.

If you live in a particular South American country like the OP does, then it's not cheap. I'm telling him for his sake to use free tools, but he insists on getting crocotile.

There's literally no reason to use crocotile.

Blender+Sprytile does everything it does, and more, for free, with a better, faster UI.

If you use crocotile, you will have spent $25 to do something slowly and tediously that you could have done quickly and efficiently in blender.

That's exactly what Sprytile does.

It doesn't work in current versions of Blender though, causes instant crash.

The important thing, tileset painting, still works. It generates script errors, but it works.

I don't see what's so bad about using 2.8, though. Still far better than paying $25 to use crocotile's shitty ui.
