๐งต Help me with aligning vertices in blender
Anonymous at Sat, 29 Jan 2022 19:24:43 UTC No. 878887
I was following a tutorial the other day where the instructor could extrude to the SAME height as the as a different part of the mesh by somehow clicking on it. I can't figure that out do you guys know how I could pull that off? :(
I wanna align these vertices properly but I'd also like to know how to extrude to the same length by somehow clicking on the vertex like in the video. thanks in advance.

Couple solutions come to mind,
1) you could merge the vertices. This won't 'align' per-se, but it will make a flawless singular model (given the small error, it won't matter in the long run)
2) if you want alignment, you can turn on vertex snapping. Then merge vertices by distance to remove redundant verts
3) why not just extrude from the face from the arch, and move it down to the desired length?
There's loads of solutions to the problem, so hope this helps

I figured it out. Just click on the magnet and choose Vertex instead of increment next to it.
Then you can use just G and move to the same height as the vertex of your choosing, and that the vertex snaps to that height.
