What is the best program for hard surface modeling?
I used blender for half a year and it was fucking awful

They're pretty much all the same, maybe you just don't like modeling

The answer lies within anon.

Get back on blender, buy the hard ops plugin. Actually go watch some masterxeon1001 vids first, that should convince you

Why not just sculpt in zbrush and use bevel pro?

This. Don't even bother mentioning hard surface modeling in Blender without Hard Ops. It's just not gonna happen.

Besides the difference in price, Hard Ops' nondestructive workflow feels a whole lot better with all the boolean/modifier stacking that you can do

Seems like a good introduction, there are more paid ones but try to look for torrents for those, not worth the price desu

also he has a partner - ryu or some shit that does hardops tutorials but his accent makes difficult to understand so I kind of avoid it

yeah, imo he is kind of a dickhead, I was commenting something along with MACHIN3 on one of his videos (Ryu) about something from MACHIN3tools and he went on to contradict MACHIN3 himself about his own addon lmao,
Ryu alone made me stay away from blenderbros for a while and still, this is the first video I see from Josh in a while, and I bought several courses from them back then

I just use Maya and I get pretty good results. You might want to look 3ds Max if you are looking for exclusively 3D modeling tho.

>I just use Maya and I get pretty good results.
Well, Maya has NURBS which is the standard for hard surface modeling of real objects to be constructed. 3DS Max has NURBS but they are beyond shitty and slow.
You may or may not want to try Rhino 3D. Very good for hardsurface modeling NURBS. But it is NOT an animation program at all. It's just for modeling.
