Just show your work on artstation, twitter, instagram. Then shill it in whatever relevant communities to the type of work you do. Having good work is important, but people also gotta know you exist.

I don't mean literally making ads and shilling your services. I mean get yourself out there and make sure people know who the fuck you are. There is no magic secret, you keep doing work, keep improving and keep posting it everywhere. Also participate in communities and talk to people.

It might not be as successful as you hope, but it beats doing nothing.
