Am I the only one who is really, really, REALLY fucking annoyed by Artstation submissions with the title of the game/movie/series they're from plastered all over them? It feels like a fucking advertisement rather than a genuine display of artistic ability. Last week the front page was absolutely fucking LITTERED with Rainbow Six Extraction and Guardians of the Galaxy submissions. This choice to include the title on the thumbnail is really distracting and detracts from the enjoyment of the art itself, makes you don't wanna browse the place.
Isn't there a way to blacklist this type of submissions so I don't have to see them at all?

I don't care to be honest, since they disappear when you click on the picture

No. It's not meant for you, it's for other employers since it implies that they have industry experience

It’s normal. As an artist, you just get a premade thumbnail and description you have to use btw. Doesn’t really bother me and it helps when I want to search for art in a particular game because I can easily find the original work and not fan art.

Kek how does a up and coming artist ever break out of trending when there are hordes of senior artists claiming these spots? Is it actually like twitter?

Artstation's UI doesn't show off the title, look at OP pic. It shows the art, putting the name of a game title makes it so that they can see what you've worked on.

Be good enough and find a way to get some early likes as soon as you upload your work. It’s all about the algorithm and these guys boost themselves to the top. But with enough following they would get to the top anyway. When you don’t have any you depend purely on your work quality and have to share it on social media, mainly discord groups.

It's true. There are more professional artists working today then in all of our history combined!
It's better to just focus on your art in any case though, right?
