I want to create very basic textures for my stylized low poly characters. Basically the textures the character in this image has where it's a color gradient with some AO and highlights.
Would forking over the cash for Substance Painter be enough to achieve this with my no artistic skill having ass or would I also need to git gud with photoshop?
Currently I'm using color gradients and creative UV placement, but my workflow is ass and means I have pump up my draw calls through the roof if I'm using multiple colors. I'd rather just bake it all into simple textures and have one draw call per mesh.

I'd have to get the year long license as I'm not smart enough to learn how to use it and get all the work done in just a month or two.

>forking over cash
Just torrent it
>is substance painter enough
you can paint anything in it, and it's pretty easy to use.

substance is more suitable when you have a high poly model to bake from, otherwise stick to photoshop or get 3dcoat.

Dude, bro, just download and install Qbitorrent, then run it, click "add torrent link", and copy-paste this:
