pretty normal, i dated a girl who did this but she was autistic so she didnt fit in and eventually quit. they just do regular things like gossip and get beer after work, obviously their not famous for what they do and dont get paid amazing amounts of money and theyre just sort of kept in their room doing wht they do and sometimes its stressful but pretty chill most of the time. I could never do that because its almost completely not related to 3d computer graphics...

Used to be better paid decades ago, you needed to be a true sperg to work in that area but now that 3d has become more accesible it’s gotten flooded by low paid 3rd world or immigrant wagies who are happy to just be in the industry and waste years of their youth grinding as juniors despite a good portion of them deserving more. Since big studios are commonly situated in expensive cities the money gets siphoned out all into rent and it’s not uncommon for singles to share flats with roommates, or scrape by in one room apartments not unlike college students.
Industry is crab in bucket mentality, you need to be either a sociopath or autistic to climb up or stand out. This applies to tv,films, ads and gaming, only difference is the delivery time and amount of neuroticism it causes.
Office environment in many AAA studios is designed to isolate you from family and hobbies, once the gig is done when you burn out and are socially starved they then offer social activities, cooms and alcohol in return
