i moved to linux but i love imgburn and can't play my blu-ray in 3d! (you can use playonlinux to run leawo). blender has gone alien anyway- killing g.e sucked. not that i really use it since my binge on emulators and games- which work great in linux for the most part.

That's besides the point. An OS is a tool nothing else.
Windows is a decent tool, and there is strong economic incentive to use it but the company making it is a corrupted corporate entity that forces conditions onto me that go way beyond what an tool producing company should be allowed to do.
Imagine you want to use a hammer and the tool company puts tracking devices into it so that they can put you under surveillance and collect data on how you use it (while also grabbing any other kind of data).
It then uses the data to find better strategies to get more money out of you, then makes your life more dangerous by exposing the collected data to other possibly corrupt corporate entities and corrupt governments and by collecting that data in the first place makes misuse possible for everybody that gets their dirty hand on it.
The best possible strategy to counter this is to use another tool to inhibit the ability of this tool to cause damage to you, while you still get all the desired functionality and have full control over it.
Since these corrupt corporate entities operate with a survival of the fittest strategy and have no morals in their pursuit of power, I can not only fuck them over, I can do it without spending money, I can also educate others how to do so and at the end of the day I feel more fit and morally superior to them because I get what I want, they don't get anything.
Linux is just the literal bleeding edge tool I use to cut the throat of the Micro$haft vampires that try to suck my blood.
