Is it possible to get really good at organic sculpting without any 2D drawing experience?
I always see conflicting arguments on this topic, where some people say it is REQUIRED, while others have posted amazing models and claim to only be able to draw stick figures, but they understand anatomy, etc.
Example of level of good is something like in the attached image.

>>drawing is a fundamental skill
you're looking for excuses because you don't want to learn how to draw
a sculptor who knows how to draw will always be better than a sculptor who doesn't

Being good at art to these people means having a skill, not developing their artistic sensibilities as a whole. I noticed a lot of people see art as individual categories rather than overlapping circles that buttress each other, sharing knowledge.

Is there an equivalent of drawabox or gesture drawing but for sculptors?

Good 2D artists normally make good 3D artists. The knowledge of anatomy translates very well.
