I used to hang out a lot at /x/ and I agree with the anon that says that it was some successful practical trolling. No CG involved. I remember some webms/videos/gifs posted on /x/ of people trying to recreate them with practical means, if well none was 100% right, they were pretty damn close, to the point that I would say that doing it with CG takes more effort than just putting on a costume and rigging some wires.
