Ma-ya
you spell the a like the a in father.
Say what you want about Autodesk, but hey have the best brandname for an 3DCC in the whole industry.
Māyā (Sanskrit: माया), a word with unclear etymology, probably comes from the root mā which means "to measure".
māyā - literally "illusion" or "magic"
"a magic show, an illusion where things appear to be present but are not what they seem";
"the principle which shows "attributeless Absolute" as having "attributes".
Māyā also connotes that which "is constantly changing and thus is spiritually unreal"
In the Advaita Vedanta school of Hindu philosophy, Maya, "appearance", is "the powerful force that creates the cosmic illusion that the phenomenal world is real."

He is vague about "commercial work", but he is not entirely wrong since the VFX industry moved away from rendering in DCC's around 10 years ago when they switched to using Katana or Clarisse (or Gaffer).

Blender
- no proper, performant deformation stack
- playback performance in dense scenes is the worst of every 3d software I've ever used (in 25 years)
- inconsistent UI conventions continue to be a major problem to this day
-render pass and surface baking systems are utter garbage

a blendlet made this thread because only a blendlet would look at rendering and compositing and blame the animation program, hint: blendlet is not the same as a blender user.

This is truly the slowest board on 4chan. 3D seemed to be all the rage 15-20 years ago.

It really is, the last thread on the catalogue was posted 18 days ago. The thread hasn't been posted on in more than 2 weeks, and is still alive

It's too hard for the losers of 4chan to learn and not as easy to shit post about as drawing like /ic/ does soon as you still need to know about 3d or you'll have threads like this one that make no sense.
I literally just come here because I'm autistic enough that my desire to talk about 3d outstrips the listening stamina of any of my 3d friends.

Because 3D is dead. The old fascination is gone. Now it's just a chore for me. Pajeets and Zerglings ruined it all.
